Monumental Milford
Remembering a Town’s Fallen Heroes
Milford, Connecticut is known for its stunning downtown and luscious Green. With hosts of lively shops and exquisite restaurants, downtown Milford can become an even more bustling place to be when the warm weather comes around. With the more commercial atmosphere the Green and downtown Milford have been associated with, the host of memorials scattered amongst the area has become overlooked.
Milford is home to memorials spanning from World War I all the way to the September 11th attacks of 2001. These memorials not only highlight the significance of these historical events but memorialize the specific names of Milford citizens lost in these conflicts. The moments contain plaques commemorating fellow residents of Milford, listing of the brave men and women who lost their lives in their respective tragedies.
