Jump scares, spooky houses, and an eerie feeling will keep someone on edge the whole time they are going through the Legends of Fear haunted trail and hayride.
Many people visit and enjoy this trail every year. It takes groups of four-ten through paths in the woods and numerous haunted houses. It is a great thing to do with friends during the fall to get into the Halloween spirit.
“It was scary and it felt real, it gave me a good adrenaline rush,” says sophomore Jack Sullivan. “It’s scary, the smell of gasoline is scary.”
When exiting the trail, there are actors that run by with chainsaws as a final scare. The chainsaws do not have blades, however, they are real and gas powered.
Sullivan has been to Legends of Fear twice and recommends it to anyone that has not been. He loved the trail and had a lot of fun while he was there.
While walking the trail, it can be very difficult to see the surroundings. This makes the trail even scarier.
Antonios Aspras, a common Legends of Fear attender, states, “It’s a really good experience and it’s very local to us.” Aspras recommends the trail to people of all ages and thinks it’s great for families and groups of friends.
The houses throughout the trail consist of many different themes. For example, there is a church, clowns, dolls and many more. All of these are designed in a way that one does not know what is real or fake.
Aidan Rascati is an employee at Legends of Fear. Despite only being a sophomore in high school, he finds time to scare many people every day at his job. Even though it is only his second week working there, Rascati says he enjoys scaring people on the hayride.
Rascati says “I do my homework, put on my work clothes, and I pack my bag with water, a coat, headphones and some snacks for the long night.”
This job is very interesting seeing as how many kids Rascati’s age do not have jobs or jobs where they can have loads of fun like he does. Legends of Fear is very flexible when it comes to requirements. Rascati could scare people in so many different ways to make the trail more enjoyable.
Rascati typically wears all black clothing with a wolf animatronic. The animatronic is a big wolf head that is connected to long arms that he can swing out at people. On the arms is a button that plays a sound when pressed. Rascati can then move the mouth to give the effect of the wolf speaking and howling.
