2023’s fall fashion trends are replacing summer fashion with sweaters, cardigans and warm clothing. As the weather gets cooler, it’s a must to dress cozier and wear fall colors. Foran students reflect these fashion choices as autumn approaches.
Senior Elle Philpott states, “My favorite fall outfit is jeans and a sweater because it’s simple and easy and comfy for school when you’re moving around and walking all day.”
Philpott says her favorite colors to wear during this season are brown and dark green since they match the vibe of fall. These colors are easy to style and match with other clothing.
Common sweaters worn during fall are cardigans, turtlenecks, sweater vests and crewnecks. Among these, cardigans are the most popular since they’re “endlessly versatile” and “the ultimate fashion wardrobe essential” according to www.vogue.com.
Many female students like to pair sweaters with jeans or leggings.
Senior Kelly Aspras says, “I love to wear my Uggs and jeans with either a nice sweater or a flannel.”
With so many students buying sweaters, there’s no end to the search for places with top-quality material and cheap prices.
Junior Dabi Lee likes to shop online and go to the Connecticut Post mall to look for clothing as the mall is close and convenient.
Lee states, “I find lots of warm clothes at H&M, especially crewnecks and sweaters, and order online at Amazon.”
With such a vast majority of clothing options online and at the mall, when the weather got cooler she bought hoodies, sweatshirts, and cardigans that match fall colors such as beige and blue.
Lee also noticed the many “fall sales” taking place online and in stores as people began to shop for this season,
Senior Arush Puri claims his warm outfits cannot be complete without a “flannel shirt and jeans or khakis.”
The signature checkered flannel is a common favorite among students and conveniently, a perfect layering tool for winter.
Puri buys his autumn clothes at the Clinton Outlets since it’s discounted and there are typically sales around Black Friday and late October.
Overall, fall is the perfect time to go shopping and buy clothes to layer and add style to an everyday outfit.
