In the month of November, Milford Marketplace is expecting the opening of the popular makeup store, Sephora. This has attracted many in Milford looking forward to the new and convenient location for the store.
The company Sephora is a French multinational retailer of personal and beauty care products. It includes a wide assortment of different brands in every category with an interactive shopping environment. Sephora believes in championing all beauty and standing fearlessly to celebrate our differences.
Sephora has grown in popularity over the years from many social media platforms including TikTok and Instagram. Locations have begun to spread throughout different cities in Connecticut. Some include Trumbull, Branford, and Danbury.
Ava Rohleder, a frequent makeup shopper, states, “I usually go to Sephora over other makeup stores because they sell more of the brands that I like and offer a wider variety of products.”
Sephora’s isles contain over 200 name brand makeup products such as Rare Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury and Dior. The prices of these cosmetics can range from $10.00 to $75.00. Though the store is more expensive, they attract large crowds due to quality and popularity. The store allows customers to try out different cosmetics with the help of trained makeup specialists.
Junior Lila Tarczali says, “I think that it being closer to me now is a lot more convenient because Sephora has better products compared to other beauty stores and I think I will visit it more.”
The new opening in Milford has started to excite many young females who are interested in makeup and skincare. It is set to open November 3 on 1650 Boston Post Rd and will make access easier for many that live in the area.
Wajiha Khan explains, “I have been to Sephora and I love it so much. In the summer I used to go almost every week.”
The store has expanded to over 30 countries worldwide and is known to be one of the biggest beauty retailers. From the years 2016-2022, net sales from Sephora grew from 580 million dollars to over 3 billion dollars. Both social media and advertising have been able to increase sales and recognize the popular business.
The new Sephora location will gain many customers and support from the Milford community due to the demand of trendy makeup products. The company will continuously gain recognition and sales from the younger generation of girls.
