Located in the heart of downtown Milford, Café Atlantique is the perfect local spot to grab a bite to eat during all times of the day.
Since opening in 2000, Café Atlantique has continued to use fresh and sustainable ingredients in order to provide their customers with healthy and simple meals, each reflecting their passion for high-quality food.
Junior Taylor Salsbury, a frequent customer of Café, says, “It’s the perfect place to go get food and study. It has such a cozy environment and their food is really good.”
The café’s menu features various delicious favorites with some of their most prominent items including their crêpes, coffees, and paninis.
The success of the local business favorites comes from receiving their bread fresh every day from local bakers and partnering with Connecticut roasters to provide their customers with the most fresh coffee.
One Café employee says, “I like working in a small town café compared to Starbucks. I worked at Starbucks for about five or six years but it was always very chaotic. I like it at Café because it’s really quiet and there’s live music here sometimes so it’s a nice vibe.”
Every Friday and Saturday Café brings in various local artists and bands for entertainment and live music of all genres as a way to bring in customers and increase business with something everyone is sure to enjoy.
Upcoming artists for February include Christian Aja, Bill Dempsey, Potpourri, Jess Rawlings, Moxanne, Caylin Rivera, and Christian Radzion.
Looking at the business side, Café Atlantique changed ownership following the pandemic from Ms. Tina Roberts to husband and wife duo Mr. Ryan McConnell and Mrs. Hanna Tedros.
Before selling the business, Roberts told the Daily Voice, “I have loved being a part of our wonderful downtown community. Milford is truly a special place and I will cherish having been a small contributing part in our little corner of downtown.”
Even under new management, Café has remained a great spot whether looking for a place to eat, study, or just relax. Café is located at 33 River St, Milford CT, open Sunday-Monday with varying hours. When in downtown Milford, be sure to stop by Café Atlantique.
