UConn is a flagship university known for its athletics and exceptional school spirit. But the hidden gems of architecture and artwork can be found just anywhere on campus. From monuments to large structures to art works, there is always something to look at in each building or when walking throughout the campus. Even the buildings are art by themselves. Each one is different in look or structure.

When first venturing through UConn, it seemed to be mostly the same, not too many things standing out. But when looking closer and exploring, a world of creativity can be discovered. There is some kind of art or creativity in each building, so you can always stumble on something unique. Students considering this university can dive into the artworks and buildings to have another factor of whether or not this school is right for them.

Rock painted purple with the year and letters on it found in between buildings near the Herbst Hall. Painting rocks has been a UConn tradition since the 1940’s.
