With the 2024 fall sports season coming to an end, football, soccer, volleyball, cheer, and swim & dive have made lots of memories. Through games, practices, and team bonding moments, memories were created that will stay with Foran athletes for a lifetime
Football
Although it was hard to pick just one, his favorite memory was senior night. Seeing the seniors walk out with their families and their bleached hair will always stick with him. This was a very energetic season for the team at practices and games. Walker says this will be a hard one to see end.
“It is hard to pinpoint one memory from this season because there was so much brought to the team by the seniors,” states Coach Garrett Walker.
Soccer
For Rodriguez, a junior, his favorite memory of the soccer season was achieving a spot in States. The team had to put in a lot of work to get that far, and making it made it all worth it for the team. Getting to States was a memorable moment that will stay with him throughout his life.
“It was like a reward for all of our hard work,” states Justin Rodriguez.
Volleyball
For sophomore Deldin her favorite memory from this year’s volleyball season was making it to the quarter-finals. The team meeting their big goal of the season meant not a lot to just her, but the whole team.
“We worked really hard and making it that far was our goal for the season.” States Maddie Deldin
Cheerleading
For freshman Bortnick, her favorite memory from this year’s cheerleading season was team bonding over the summer. When team bonding takes place, they decorate their creates for the football games, get split into teams, and participate in many games. The bonds created at this team bonding last for the seasons to come.
“It made me a lot closer with many of the girls on the team and those bonds stayed with me once the season ended.” States Lily Bortnick
Girls Swim & Dive
Coach Dooling’s favorite memory of this year’s girl’s swim & dive season was senior night. This was the first group of girls he got to see grow throughout the seasons because their freshman year was when he first started coaching. This group of girls will always hold a special place in his heart.
“Their freshman year was the year I started coaching so it was really nice seeing them grow from freshman to senior year.” States Coach Brian Dooling
