For this Valentine’s Day season, there are many ways to celebrate and show value to the people who mean the most.
Go to a Drive-in Movie
One way to spend this Valentine’s Day is going to a drive-in movie theater, whether that is with a significant other or a friend. Some places near Milford are Southington Drive-In and Remarkable Theater in Westport. This February 14, grab a blanket and some snacks, and enjoy a movie with someone closest.
“It was really cool to be with my family in the car and it was really comfortable, overall I really liked it,” states junior Maddox Wesh
Going out to Dinner
Sophomore Agatha Correa says that she would recommend checking out, “Don Rene downtown because the service and food are well priced and good.”
Need something simple for this Valentine’s Day? A great option is to go to dinner. There are many restaurants all around Milford with all different types of foods to choose from. These options can vary from chain restaurants to local, Don Rene being Correa’s favorite.

Cooking or Baking
A good way to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year is to spend time with someone closest and cook dinner or a sweet treat together. There are many delicious recipes that you can search for to cook or bake together. Some recommendations from Miss Beth Cafferty include Marry Me Chicken, heart-shaped sugar cookies with icing, and molten chocolate cakes. These are just a few of the recipes you can find to make with someone you love most.
A Night In
“We watch the Penn State girls volleyball games together and stay in and hang out,” states sophomore Scarlet Kuba.
Another great way to spend Valentine’s Day is to spend a quiet night in. You can do many things, such as watch a movie, play board games, or have a spa night. You could do this with a friend, family member, or significant other.
Volunteer Together
“My favorite part about volunteering is probably being able to go with my friends and not only enjoy each other’s company but also being able to help out with whatever is needed,” states junior Lharyssa Pinho
Another way you can spend your day this holiday is by volunteering together. This is a great way to spread love throughout the holidays. There are countless places you can volunteer just within Milford. It is great to do this with anyone you care about to spread love and show gratitude over the holiday.
