There are numerous clubs available at Foran High School, offering students a chance to discover a new passion, such as cooking or skiing, make new friends, or even develop skills that go beyond learning in a classroom.
A Sample of Foran’s Clubs:
Key Club: Key Club’s main focus is on volunteering and supporting those in need within the community, from helping with fundraisers to helping other Milford schools with events or local organizations that ask for support, like Camp Sunshine, a camp for children with illnesses.
Members learn to value teamwork, collaboration, and communication while actively engaging with the Milford community.
Club members say that Key Club is about learning to think about others and not just oneself, putting others first, and giving back to the community. They say it’s an opportunity to make friends while making a difference.
Club advisor Mrs. Cathy GaNun says, “I love Key Club because it’s making a difference in other people’s lives and not just mine.”
Participating in Key Club is also a way of getting community service hours. Students who log 200 hours of community service will graduate with distinction, which will show on their resumes.
The Giving Table: The Giving Table focuses on preparing food for Milford residents facing tough times. It helps families that are dealing with financial struggles, food insecurity, and medical emergencies, as well as cooking meals to thank first responders, veterans, and community volunteers.
The club has a joyful and welcoming atmosphere that’s full of energy, according to students. Members cook side by side with music playing in the background. There’s no prior cooking experience needed to join this club. It’s a place to make new friends and learn or improve on cooking skills.
Club advisor Ms. Randy Colin states, “I would like students to embrace being of service. Taking time to give to others nurtures the soul.”
The club meets throughout the year and runs until the second or third week of May. Students involved in any seasonal sports can join during the opposite seasons. Those who have fall or winter sports, sign up for the spring, and students with spring sports, sign up for fall and winter.
The Giving Table is also a good way of getting community service hours and building a resume for college applications.
Finance Club: The Finance Club is about teaching students how to take care of their financial futures by learning the basics of investing. Throughout the year, members explore how to make smart financial decisions, build wealth, and understand the stock market. A special highlight of the year is participating in an investment competition hosted by the Wharton School, giving students the chance to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting.
Inside the Finance club, students are actually learning how to make money through investments. There are even special investment accounts that can be set up by a parent or guardian so students can start investing right away.
Club advisor Mr. Jeff Blude says, “Don’t wait, investing is something you can do now!”

Forever Friends: Forever Friends club is all about building friendships between students with special needs and their peers. Throughout the year, the club hosts seven holiday-themed parties to bring everyone together.
Forever Friends stands out for its inclusion, kindness, and acceptance. This club is about making sure every student feels seen, supported, and valued.
Members gain a better understanding of empathy, learning how to advocate for others and appreciate differences.
“I want students to walk away with a deeper understanding of empathy, kindness, and the importance of inclusion,” says Blude, who advises this club as well as the finance club.
Joining means being consistent, dependable, and open to forming meaningful connections. It’s a fun, supportive, and transformative experience for everyone involved.
