Foran High School’s own band are hosting their annual “Pasta and Jazz” here in the Courtyard on Friday, May 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The delicious pasta and meatball dinners will be provided by Bear and Grill, a local restaurant. All of the proceeds will go towards to support the band program. Mrs.Shearer, the band teacher, commented: “The Pasta and Jazz also acts as a fundraiser so we can raise funds for more band trips and concerts. As a bonus, a lot of alumni come to support the band so it’s sort of a reunion.”
The Foran Jazz Ensemble and the East Shore Jazz Ensemble will be performing at this event along with other class ensembles. “We basically listen to jazz and eat pasta. It’s fun and this year, we have an new performance from our jazz improv class. I’m really excited for it.” said Catherine Galaburri, senior. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. If you like jazz music and eating pasta, then come by this event to support our awesome band!
