As the holiday approaches, people begin to look for the hottest gifts. Apple has prepared for this mass of consumers, creating new technologies that appeal to the general public. The recent release of the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR has put the iPhone at the top of everyone’s Christmas list.
The iPhone XR has a 6.1 inch liquid retina HD display. It is water resistance (to a depth of 1 meters for up to 30 minutes), and has other new features such as portrait lighting with three effects: natural, studio, and contour. It is recorded on the Apple website that the iPhone XR is $37.41 a month with the iPhone Upgrade Program. The other option is to pay for the phone on the spot, for $749.
The iPhone 10 (XS) includes new features like face ID, water resistance (to a depth of 2 meters for up to 30 minutes), and a 5.8 inch super retina HD display. This was the first iPhone to be released featuring face ID and other new technologies. It is recorded on the Apple website that the iPhone XS is $49.91 a month with the iPhone Upgrade Program. The other option is to pay for the phone on the spot, for $999.
The iPhone 10 XS max is Apple’s newest iPhone. This phone has an astounding 6.5 inch super retina HD display, wide angle and telephoto aperture, two time optical zoom, and digital zoom up to 6 times. It is recorded on the Apple website that the iPhone XS 5.8 inch display is $49.91 a month with the iPhone Upgrade Program. The other option is to pay for the phone on the spot, for $999. However the iphone XS max 6.5 inch display is $54.08 a month with the iPhone Upgrade Program, and $1099, if one were to buy it on the spot. Senior, Emily Westphal says she saved up to buy this phone for herself. “It was a big investment, but totally worth it”, reflects Westphal.
All three of these phones have features such as face ID, a 7MP true depth camera, water resistance, A12 Bionic chip with next-generation Neural Engine, water resistance, wireless charging (with Qi chargers). These phones are carried by companies like Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile. The phones still carry Apple’s iconic iPhone abilities like Siri, EarPods with lightning connector, and charging capability.
Along with these phones, AirPods have became popular. AirPods are the new, wireless headphones. AirPods are chargeable, and deliver 5 hours of listening time on one charge. They come with a charging case that holds multiple additional charges for more than 24 hours of listening time. The best part, 15 minutes of charging is equivalent to 3 hours of battery life. Senior, Izzy Connelly, says, “I got AirPods as a birthday present and I absolutely love them. They are really cool and super convenient”. These AirPods can be purchased on the Apple website for $159.00.
