Lions take on the Hawks tonight at Woodlands!
Foran Girls Volleyball is headed to the quarterfinals! Foran took on Nonnewaug last night in the second round of states and took the win in three! The girls were ready to fight and came out fiercer than ever. Janae Owen, senior and captain, attacked the court with nine kills and four aces. Kayla Ellis, senior and captain, also had a roaring night with seven kills, and Kelly Hunt, junior, with eight kills.
The Lions are surely ready to take on their opponent, Woodland, on Friday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m. Woodland and Foran have always had a strong rivalry, meeting in States multiple times and even competing for the championship last year.
“We worked together as a team last night,” Ellis said. “We kept our heads held high when we were down and we want to go into tomorrow’s match with confidence. We have to go out there and give it our all and no one will be stopping us! #pceluvvball”
The girls will go into the game with pride and said they will not go down without a fight. Don’t forget to come out and support, Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Woodland. The ride will be worth it.
