Sunday Mornings: Streets of Elmhurst, Queens, New York

On a Sunday morning, people are out and about on the streets of Queens, New York.  At every turn and corner, there is never a moment in time where something is stopping.

On a Sunday morning, children are riding their scooters along the sidewalks while their parents tag along.  Their destination – the grocery store, a bakery, or the park.  On every block, there is a different grocery store, always crowded with bustling shoppers.

On a Sunday morning, rain or shine, the park is filled with elderly dancing groups.  With a uniform, they dance to music.  Their activity surrounds the area from early morning to about 11 am.

Although belonging to the same state, Queens has a drastically different atmosphere than Manhattan, the borough that’s most associated with New York.
