Many movies that have come out in 2023 have been big hits with more coming to theaters in the next two months. Here are some movies to watch that are coming out soon.
Coming out in theaters on November 17, 2023 is “Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes.” The director, Francis Lawrence, also directed the last three Hunger Game movies.
The story begins around the tenth annual Hunger Games, a prelude to the original movies. It follows Coriolanus Snow when he is a teenager, who is picked to be a mentor to Lucy Gray Baird, a tribute from District 12.
Snow, being the last hope to restore his family’s name, is alarmed by this, but after Baird sings and catches the attention of all Panem, Snow thinks he will be able to turn the odds in their favor.
Dr. Volumnia Gaul states in the trailer, “Fueled with the terror of becoming prey, see how quickly we become predator?” Whether this is foreshadowing or not, it holds suspense over what will happen.
This movie is based on the prequel book “The Ballards of Songbirds and Snakes” by Suzanne Collins, the author of the Hunger Games saga.
Rated PG-13 and lasting two hours and 45 minutes, this is a great movie to watch around Thanksgiving.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie already broke a record before it came out on October 13. The movie broke the single-day sales record for AMC presale tickets for film, for $26 million.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie documents the concert tour Swift had from 2023-2024. The reason behind the tour’s name is because she sings all ten albums, ranging from one to eight tracks per show.
“I think she has opened up the idea that fans want to hear an artist’s whole catalog, and I’m hoping we get more of those types of tours in the future,” English teacher Mrs. Meghan Benson states.
No one is surprised at how well Swift’s tour has been going. The overall gross is one billion, and she herself has earned $300 million.
“I think she definitely helped boost the economies of cities she went to, with hotels and restaurants selling out each time she visited,” Benson adds.
Watching the movie will be a great opportunity to watch the tour, even if viewers didn’t go in person.

This movie has been long awaited by fans, its game debut being August 8th, 2014. Developer Scott Cawthon Aka, Scottgames released 8 more after its initial game.
Director Emma Tammi is known for her work in other indie horror movies such as “The Wind” (2018) rated 81% on Rotten Tomatoes. We are excited to see what she makes of this highly anticipated film.
Universal Pictures is distributing this movie with the help of music by “The Newton Brothers”. This will truly be a horrific movie to see at the end of October!
