First things first, Santa makes his debut at the Connecticut Post Mall starting Friday, November 17-December 24. Event times found at www.shopconnecticutpostmall.com. This event is free with a Santa photo purchase. Festive drinks and snacks including a candy bar and coffee for parents. Arts and crafts for the kids. Face painting for ages 2-12. Special appearances from holiday characters and even Holiday books for family storytime to enjoy. For the pet lover, your pet can take a Holiday picture with Santa too. And what a perfect time to start shopping for that special person on your holiday list.
Annual Milford Tree Lighting will take place on Friday, November 25 at 5 p.m. on the Milford Green. This event is fun for all ages. Santa, caroling, ice sculptures, bonfires, and more.
Downtown Milford is hosting its 21 Annual Lamplight Stroll. This event takes place on December 1 from 5-9 p.m. at the Milford Center. As you stroll don’t forget to check out the over 40 vendors, listen to the carolers, or even take a horse and carriage ride. Also, the School of Rock will be performing. And don’t forget to stop by to see Santa.

Check out Christmas Cookies, the Musical starting on December 1 at 7:30 pm through December 23. Multiple showtimes and $30.00 ticket prices. This performance is put on by the Milford Arts Council, the MAC, 40 Railroad Ave.. This Pantachino Production is a delightful and heartwarming family musical about a failing bakery and a child’s wish that brings three cookies to life who sing, dance, and help save the holiday.
St. Ann’s Christmas Fair, 499 Naugatuck Ave, Devon. This family fun community event is taking place on December 2 from 9-3. Admission to this event is free. Bakery, vendors, local Authors, and lunch items to help bring out the Christmas spirit.
Winter Sunday Funday at Foran High School. Sunday, December 3, 12-3. Bring your children to the Foran Cafeteria, $10.00 a kid check or cash upon entry. This event includes pictures with Santa, games, face painting, music, cookies, a movie and so much more.
Holiday Buoy Tree Lighting taking place on December 11 at 5:30pm Milford Arts Council, the MAC. Location-Lisman Landing, 37 Helwig Street. This event hopes to bring the Milford community together and create a unique experience for the holiday season. Volunteers are needed to help build a 20-30’ tree from genuine used lobster traps. Sparkly white lights are added with a touch of hand-painted and decorated buoys created by local artists, families, and businesses. All ages are welcome.
Family Movie Night featuring The Polar Express. Thursday December 14 at the Parsons Complex Auditorium, 70 W. River Street. Doors open at 5:30pm and the movie begins at 6:30pm. Wear your pajamas, photo station, goodie bags, mail letters to Santa and a special guest appearance.
Close to home in New Haven the Shubert Theater will be performing the Nutcracker and Christmas Carol. The dates for the Nutcracker are December 15 Friday-17, and multiple showtimes. The Christmas Carol will be performed on December 22 and 23. Tickets are on sale now.
