Ski Club at Foran High School is a club for everyone, for experts and beginners. There are the obvious social and physical activity benefits from joining the ski club. It is now skiing season and the ski club is a great opportunity to make new friends and have a fun time.
The teachers on the trip and people to ask if there are any questions are Mr. Todd Williams, Miss Chelsea Green, and Mr. Jeff Blude. The president of the Ski Club is Alana Finlayson and the Vice president is Erin Schmitt. If any questions arise please feel free to email the following. There will be a trip in the near future from 3-10pm.
Some of the trips that will be taken are Pico Mountain on January 20, 2024, Burke Mountain on February 10, 2024 and Jiminy Peak on February 23, 2024.
Finlayson states, “Ski Club is so much fun, I’ve been going on these trips since middle school and everyone should try out ski club because it can be a new fun hobby.”
There isn’t any trying out for the ski club, sign up, and you will be apart of the club if there is not over the maximum amount of students allowed on the trip.
Mr. Williams has now been running the ski club for years. He stated, “Students should join ski club because it helps build relationships, enjoys the outdoors, physical exercise, and experience new places throughout New England.”
Skiing and snowboarding, like all types of exercise, maintain good overall physical health. Skiing and snowboarding require the use of numerous muscle groups, which protects our ligaments and tendons, our bone strength, balance, and stability also increase.
