Q: How many AP classes are you taking and which ones?
A: Right now I am taking AP US History, it’s similar to the US History I took a sophomore year, there are just a lot more quizzes and tests now. I also take AP Lang, AP Lang is unlike any other class I have taken. In This class, there are a lot of practice essays and multiple choice. But we also do a lot of fun activities and projects.
Q: Have you enjoyed the AP classes you are taking?
A: Yes I have enjoyed taking them because they do provide a challenge for me to push myself to be the best I can be which is fulfilling to know I’m working hard to be my best. I also plan on going to college so taking these classes will be very beneficial for my application and learning experience.
Q: Would you recommend this class to an underclassman?
A: Yes I would recommend these classes to certain freshmen and sophomores who are willing to put in the hard work.. Also, these classes are a challenge so if these underclassmen would like to challenge themselves more this class will be perfect for them.
Q: What are some of your study tips and how to stay on top of the work?
A: One of my tips for studying and also having a job is to take a lot of notes. Taking these notes and making them filled with colors and visuals helps me study more effectively. It also helps me learn them better for future quizzes or tests that I may not know about yet. I also watch the college board videos given by my teachers. Last I don’t put the work off, as soon as I get my work I get it done. So I don’t have to do it after work when I am tired and not as ready to think hard.
Q: How is it taking AP classes and being involved with extracurricular/work?
A: It’s a challenge but being able to use my study hall wisely and finish the homework I am being given allows me to have less work at home. Also when I get home I put the phone down and focus on my work to finish it on time. Putting all distractions away from me is so helpful because then it can change the time from about 2 hours to 30 minutes to 1 hour.
