As graduation approaches, high school seniors begin to plan the next chapter of their lives. Whether they are starting a career, attending college, joining the military, or taking a gap year to explore new horizons, this critical milestone encourages them to dream big and set objectives for the future. In a year, seniors will be stepping into these new roles, defining their identities, and pursuing the goals they’ve developed during high school.
Ethan Boromei: Mechanically inclined Foran senior Ethan Boromei is choosing not to go to college, but this is not the end of his career path.
Boromei says, “A year from now I see myself working in a mechanic shop.” Boromei has taken the Powertech classes at Foran learning how to work on small and large engines.
Jackie Maurice: Jackie Maurice, a senior at Foran, is about to begin an exciting road toward the nursing profession. Her top choice school is Endicott College in Beverly, MA.
Maurice says, “I am excited for the college experience, to meet new people, and furthering my education.” Maurice sees herself a year from now in nursing school doing well in her clinical and succeeding on her path to success in nursing.
Travis Dubielewicz: As his senior year approaches, Travis Dubielewicz has decided to take a gap year following high school to explore his hobbies, learn new skills, and acquire life experiences before pursuing professional goals.
Dubielewicz elaborates, “I am taking a gap year to do new things and figure out my future, in a year I see myself working a full-time job with a steady income”.
Corey Lawrence: Corey Lawrence is going into the Navy after high school.
Lawrence says, “The benefits and free college are the reasons I want to go to the military”. A year from now he sees himself in the Navy doing basic training.
Mathew Krenicki: Senior Mathew Krenicki is setting his sights on the future, planning to attend college to pursue a degree in sports management.
Krenicki says, “I love baseball and being around the game so once I’m done playing I still want to be connected to the sport in some sort of way…I want to be in the business department of a professional baseball team working in areas like accounting, management, or marketing.” Krenicki says a year from now he sees himself in college down in Florida as part of the college baseball team preparing for his first season of college baseball and studying sports management.
Winter Leone: Winter Leone is going into the Air Force after her time at Foran.
Leone says “I’m joining the AirForce. The reason why I am joining the AirForce is because of the benefits, as well as having the ability to be able to serve my country and help others when needed.” Leone chose the AirForce because she feels it has better job opportunities. In a year from now, she sees herself as a military mechanic.
No matter what path they choose for their future, there is no doubt these seniors will go on to do amazing things.
