As the fall sports season kicks off, student-athletes from across Foran have stepped into leadership roles as team captains. From the football field to the cross-country trails, these captains possess the unique ability to set the tone for competition and represent the values of hard work and dedication.
Girls Soccer
This year’s girls’ soccer captains are Dani Boutote, Brooke Oliver, Allison Ryan, and Sophie Sinisgalli. The team started the season strong, winning two games against West Haven and Shelton.
Boys Soccer
This year’s boys soccer captains are Gavin Conte, Colin Monahan, and Josh Azpiri-Sudusky. The team has enjoyed victories over Jonathan Law and Lyman Hall. Their next matchup is against Amity on Saturday, September 27.
Football
This year’s football captains are Gavin Lefebvre, Zachary Lund, Alex Testani, Shane Trevethan, Oscar Valle, and Kyle Viesselman. The team received its first win against East Haven on Friday, September 19.
Volleyball
This year’s volleyball captains are Kylie Posey, Nyah Boromei, and Aubrey Pippa. The girls have enjoyed a very strong start to the season, enjoying wins against Cheshire, Lyman Hall, Jonathan Law, Sheehan, and Wilbur Cross.
Posey states, “For this season, we want to push ourselves to get better at each game and each practice while growing as a team and having fun playing together.”
Boys Cross Country
This year’s boys’ cross country captains are Mike Rich and John Fink. The boys have their next meet against Jonathan Law at Eisenhower Park on October 20.
Girls Cross Country
This year’s girls’ cross country captains are Lilly Magnuson and Clara Pasacreta. The girls have their next meet at Eisenhower Park against Platt Tech and Jonathan Law on October 20.

Girls Swim and Dive
This year’s girls’ swim and dive captains are Alexa White and Chloe Wardman. The girls look to bounce back after a tough loss, with their next home meet on September 29 against Amity.
Cheer
This year’s cheer captains are Lea Boguniecki, Laney Chan, and Sarah Schumann.
Chan explains, “Being with the team is like a second family. I appreciate the bonds I’ve formed with all of the girls throughout my time on the team, which makes being a captain so fulfilling.”
