My name is Britney Lynch, I am a senior, and my position is Editor in Chief. My goal this year in journalism is to become a better writer and make my stories enjoyable to be read. I am a part of the Foran volleyball and gymnastics teams. I have been on both teams since my freshman year. Out of the several clubs Foran offers, I am a part of Key Club and the Giving Back Club. When I am not in school I enjoy hanging out with my friends. This year I am looking forward to writing lots of articles.

Hello! My name is Ava Haig, I am a senior, and I am excited to be Editor in Chief this year for The Mane Street Mirror. I am a member of several different clubs here at Foran. I am the Vice President of DECA, the treasurer of Key Club, and the media specialist for American Sign Language Club. I also participate in outdoor track. Outside of school, I manage the Foran varsity boys soccer team, and am aiming to achieve 200 hours of community service. This year in journalism, I am very excited to be adding tweets to The Mane Street Mirror twitter account. A quote that I personally enjoy is, “Whoever is happy will make others happy too”, by Anne Frank. I love this quote because it encourages people to be positive and make the people around them feel good.

My name is Lucas Burgard, I’m a junior, and this year I will be an Assistant Editor. I am so excited to be working as an Assistant Editor this year because not only will it bring more responsibility, but it will be more rewarding. By the end of the year, I hope that I will be better at laying out articles and covering topics that would not normally interest me. At Foran, I compete on the Boys Swim Team, and I am a member of Natural Helpers and FIT. Currently, I am co-president of the World Culture Club. What I look forward to most this year, is using my writing to broaden perspectives and change the way people see the world at Foran and within the Milford community. My name is Alex Conte. I am in my junior year and I’m also a staff writer for The Mane Street Mirror. A goal that I strive to accomplish in journalism is to build on my writing skills and immerse myself in activities related to my school. I participate in 3 sports at Foran: Baseball, Basketball, and Cross Country. I am a member of FIT (Foran Innovative Thinkers), the Foran Band, and Key Club. Outside of school, I sing and play guitar in a band called Adrenaline. I look forward to learning about how to report credible and reliable news, as well as interviewing different people to receive multiple points of view. I also look forward to properly informing my peers about events in and around the school. My name is Annabelle Farrell. I am a sophomore and a staff writer. My goal for journalism this year is to improve on my writing, to become more creative with it, and expand my knowledge of our community. I am on the junior varsity girls soccer team, and am in the two clubs, Habitat for Humanity and Key Club. Outside of school, I enjoy reading and listening to music. My name is Amy Alicki, I am a sophomore and a staff writer. My goals for this year in journalism are to become a better writer, learn how to interview, and use that information to write an article. I don’t play any sports for Foran, however, I do horseback riding and own a horse. Last year I was not part of any clubs but this year I am a part of Key Club. Out of school my only hobby is horseback riding, as I am at the barn almost everyday after school. This year in journalism I am excited to learn about the different types of jobs there are in journalism.

My name is Deanna Dempsey. I am a junior in high school and I write for the school newspaper. My goals for journalism this year are to find my interests within writing. I also would like to grow into a more experienced and better writer. I like to be involved with the school. I play softball and basketball. I am a part of Key Club and I try to participate in it on my free time. Outside of school I enjoy painting, photography, and watching movies. I am looking forward to get my word out to the school and keeping the school updated about life. I really like the way the class is taught and I’m excited to write about interesting topics. My name is Isabel Messore, I’m a junior and a staff writer. My goals for this year are to improve my writing skills. I am apart of the Foran Varsity Volleyball Team, the treasurer of Student Government for 2020, and a part of the Yearbook Committee. Outside of school I like to read, play volleyball, and hang out with my friends. My name is Dylan Fernandez, I’m a junior and a staff writer for The Mane Street Mirror.  My goals in journalism are to become a better writer and learn how to effectively convey ideas in a news article. I run indoor track in the winter, outdoor track in the spring, and I am part of the DECA club. My name is Jess Anderson, I’m a junior and a staff writer. My goals in journalism this year are to become a better writer and explore the ins and out of Foran while reporting the unbiased truth. I participate in the Foran Varsity Girls Swim Team and the Foran Varsity Girls Lacrosse Team. I am also a part of the Natural Helpers club and plan on joining more. My hobbies include; hanging out with friends, swimming, and bingeing on a Netflix series. Hi, my name is Zoē Pringle, a Foran High School junior writer in journalism class writing for The Mane Street Mirror. By taking journalism this year, I hope to improve my objective writing skills as well as my speaking/questioning skills when interviewing people. Not only do I want to improve my personal skills, but I would love to meet new people! I don’t play any sports this year because I’m focusing on my academics. I am participating in GSA and BFAC for the third year in a row, and may be joining new clubs as well. I love to do any kind of art, specifically painting. My name is Becca, I’m currently a junior and a writer for The Mane Street Mirror. I hope to become a better writer by the end of this year. I want to obtain more practice writing about things I can choose and become better at it. I watch a lot of TV and do homework which takes up a lot of my free time. I enjoy hanging out with my friends as well. This year in journalism, I am looking forward to becoming better at writing in all different aspects. My name is Abbie Mitchell, I’m in my junior year and a staff writer. I’d like to learn more about this style of writing and come out of my comfort zone towards writing. I am a cheerleader and play lacrosse. I am a part of Natural Helpers but would like to be involved in more. I like to paint and create different art projects along with spending time with my friends. I also like watching cooking and baking shows/videos. I’m excited to learn more about the different things going on around the school. My name is Isabella McPadden. I’m in my junior year and a staff writer for The Mane Street Mirror. This year, I look forward to improving my writing skills as a journalist. The first day has already taught me how different it is to write as a journalist than writing in general. I hope to gain interviewing skills, develop unique layout designs, and learn more about current events not only in our school, but in the Milford community. I am a member of Foran Girls’ Swimming and Diving, and participate in multiple clubs. Some of them include Key Club, World Culture Club, Natural Helpers, Foran Innovative Thinkers, and student government. My goal for journalism this year is to get more organized with my writing and to familiarize myself with editing and laying out a newspaper. I’m a runner on the cross-country team and a member of the World Culture Club. Outside of school, I enjoy teaching myself foreign languages, taking day trips to both the city and the country with my family, and hanging out with my friends. My name is Ben Grunow, I am a junior and staff writer for The Mane Street Mirror. I hope to improve my interviewing skills so I can prepare myself for the real world for college and job interviews. At Foran I currently play soccer and in the spring I am a long jumper in track. I’m also part of the ski club and go on pretty much every single one of the trips to the mountains. Some things I do outside of school are playing video games, hiking, and skiing. As a junior, my high school career is slowly coming to an end. I’m looking forward to making new friends and writing many articles for people to read in the paper. My name is David Lin, I am a junior at Foran High School and I am a new member to journalism. I look forward to writing a variety of articles for The Mane Street Mirror, and I hope that joining journalism will help me improve my writing and depth of understanding in various texts. I enjoy playing the violin and I spend any amount of my free time playing League of Legends and other PC games with my friends. If you ever want to find me I will usually be working weekends at my parent’s restaurant Lin’s Kitchen. My name is Nick Lawrence. I am a sophomore and a staff writer. This year I want to become a better writer because I feel like this class will help me moving forward in life. I play football and basketball, but I am not a part of any clubs. Outside of school I like to hangout with my friends and practice basketball. This year I wanna get better at writing so surprisingly I am looking forward to the writing and some interviewing. Winston S. Churchill once said, “ Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” This quote is so positive and when I read it, it allows me to realize if I failed or do something I was not supposed to, I will learn from it.

My name is Nik Cruciani, I am a sophomore and my position is a staff writer. My goal for this year is to become a better writer so it will help me in other subjects. I play baseball and football and I’m not in any clubs. My hobbies for outside of school are hanging out with my friends and playing Fortnite. What I’m looking forward to the most in this class is getting my articles in the newspaper and becoming a better writer. I don’t play any sports for this school, and I’m not a part of any clubs, but outside of school, I do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and I go to lessons for piano. I am looking forward to writing stories and informing people about activities in Milford through The Mane Street Mirror. My name is Ryan Bailey, I am a sophomore and I am a staff writer. My goals for this year in journalism are to become a better writer and write some interesting articles. I am a swimmer on the Foran boy’s swim team. I’m not in a club right now but, I am thinking about joining one. I like to play a lot of video games. I love photography, so when I go on vacation I always have my camera. I am looking forward to being able to write some interesting articles and be able to interview people. My name is Austin Vance and I am a junior. My position is a staff writer. My goals for this year are to become a better writer and learn more about journalism. I play soccer for Foran during the fall and for Everton America the rest of the year. I am not a part of any clubs, but I am interested in joining one this year. I am really looking forward to being involved in the school newspaper this year and learning about how journalism works. I took this class because I like to write and I think this is a great opportunity to get better at it. A quote I live by is, “If you got a dog, feed it everyday.
