Four years ago, 187 freshmen walked through the doors of Foran High School – nervous, excited, and uncertain of what was to come in the new setting. Now, as graduation approaches, these students walk the halls as seniors, carrying unforgettable memories.
As their final month of being high schoolers unfolds, many students are reflecting on their high school experiences. From sports to outside life, students recount their fondest recollections.
Foran senior Abby Corris recalls one of her proudest moments: “My favorite high school memory was probably winning the state championship with my softball team.”
Moments like these, filled with hard work and ending with celebration, stand out as lifelong memories and defining pieces of the high school journey.
For many students, meaningful takeaways transcend a single event. Senior David Gray recognizes the importance of taking chances and trying new experiences.
“If there’s an opportunity to do it, take it,” Gray explains. “You can’t go back in time, and you’ll be kicking yourself later that you didn’t do something.”
Similar to Gray, many students find stepping out of their comfort zone helpful. Although daunting, this has helped many seniors meet new people, discover who they are, and grow as individuals.
Having spent four years balancing classes, extracurriculars, and plenty of other activities, Foran’s seniors have gained knowledgeable perspectives that only experience can provide.

Some students touched on the importance of planning. Senior Rafay Siddiqi, whose favorite memory was the business trip to New York City, gave simple but highly useful advice: “Plan out your life, and your high school career.”
In addition, Senior Olivia Gregory suggests that students complete their required credits early so they can enjoy their senior year with less stress and more schedule flexibility.
For many, the social events leave the biggest impact. Senior Lily Schoen reflects on the sophomore ring dance as her favorite memory, describing it as “a really fun dance” where she spent time with friends.
Schoen adds, “My advice to younger students would be to focus on your grades because getting into colleges is getting harder every year.”
As the Class of 2026 prepares to leave Foran High School behind, their reflections illustrate growth, self-discovery, and a pathway to their futures.
Each student has a sentimental and unique journey, and as high school comes to an end, seniors can reflect on the moments that shaped them, the connections they’ve built, and the lessons learned that last a lifetime.
In the end, many seniors have come to realize that high school flies by faster than they think. So, as senior Ralph Recto emphasizes, “just enjoy it.”
