Milford Green isn’t just a public park space; it functions like a local memory archive. The statues scattered across it are built to honor American service members across different wars, turning the center of town into a quiet reminder of sacrifice, history, and national identity. Each monument reflects a different conflict and moment in time, such as the Korean War and the Vietnam War, but together they form one continuous story of remembrance in the middle of everyday community life.

Hi, my name is Tyler McTigue, and I’m a junior at Foran High School. This is my first year taking journalism, and I am a staff writer. I picked journalism because I love writing and learning about the people and places around me. At Foran, I am involved in basketball and baseball. In my free time, I enjoy golfing and hanging with friends.
