It’s that time of year again! The annual Homecoming dance and football game are just about here!
On October 11, at 6:00 pm, the cafeteria will be full of red carpet worthy dance attendees and their dates.
This years’ theme- Hollywood Red Carpet- was created by the Natural Helpers.
“The Natural Helpers are doing everything,” says Mr. Raucci, co-head of the organization along with Ms. Basher. “They’ve done the advertising, tickets, everything. The whole nine yards.”
“This years dance will be more up-scale than past years,” says Raucci. “The whole place will be decked out.”
The Natural Helpers have and continue to spend a great amount of time in preparation for
the event.
“We have to transform the cafeteria in four or five hours before the homecoming game. Then we go home, and come back for the dance and tear it all down afterwords.” says Bobby McGinnis, junior.
Last year’s dance was Great Gatsby themed. Dance goers wore 1920s themed dresses and suits. The football game was played against Hillhouse High School.
Mark Duffy, junior, says “We ‘re hoping for more involvement from all the classes and it’s going to be more tailored to the student population. We are going tot try and integrate students’ ideas and suggestions more than last year.”
On October 10, the Foran Football team will be playing Trinity Catholic High School. The Homecoming Court will be presented along with their parents to all who attend the game at 7 pm.
