Q: Going into your fourth year as a starter, what are you doing to prepare for the baseball season?
A: Working on both my hitting, and pitching skills. As well as attempting to organize off-season workouts for the rest of the team. We are all trying to be 100% ready for the beginning of the season
Q: What challenges do you expect for the season?
A: Overall, we are a very young team lacking a lot of varsity experience. Therefore, I expect a little bit of an adjustment period for some of the guys. But it is my job to make sure they are prepared for the level of competition we will face.
Q: Why did you decide to play college baseball?
A: I love playing baseball, and I was fortunate enough to get an offer from Western Connecticut State University to play the game I love. I just want to keep playing baseball for as long as I possibly can.
Q: Playing two sports in college is an impressive, and difficult feat, how will you juggle two sports, and classes on top of it?
A: College sports are much more rigorous than high school. Over the summer, I will have to lift, and increase my athletic ability to be prepared for football. However, I still have to do extra workouts to get my arm in shape for the baseball season. In regards to academics, I am just going to have to manage my time well, pay attention in class, and go to office hours with my professors.
Q: Do you still plan on playing baseball after College?
A: I am not completely sure yet but I will see what happens next year. If I play well, and then transfer to a better school. If I keep working hard, and improving my pitching skills, I might be able to get drafted one day.
