Perfect Playdate opened on June 15, located at 163 Cherry St in Milford. The site offers a new, safe, and welcoming environment for children and families to attend and participate in hands-on/interactive activities. The program provides numerous play areas, events, and parent-friendly accommodations while prioritizing safety and cleanliness for its members.
Former Foran High School counselor Jennifer Close is the owner of Perfect Playdate. She developed the idea for the play area with the intention of running a fun, safe, and successful business.
Close states, “I wanted a change from education, something a little more flexible. I wanted the challenge of operating my own business, and I also felt like there was a need in the Milford community for an indoor play space geared towards [children] under six.”
The play areas offer a variety of options for the children who come to play. These include play markets, homes, garages, salons, etc. As well as sensory, crawling, and climbing areas. The assortment of activities allows young children of various ages to find many activities to suit their interests.
The play area ensures that the children are kept safe by child-proofed items, soft mats to fall on, and a welcoming environment for parent supervision. Parents are presented with a cafe and snacks that can be purchased throughout their child’s playtime.
In addition to the time they spend with their children, Perfect Playdate has also offered events for only parents, called Parent Night, for those with children to learn and grow together.
Mom of two in the Milford Community, Shannon Hannigan, has brought her children to Perfect Playdate many times to release their energy and to safely interact with other children.
Hannigan states, “Walking into Perfect Playdate was so warm and welcoming, they greet you kindly, sign you in, then you have the rest of the time to play.”
Additionally, Perfect Playdate offers a variety of activities beyond free play, such as different kinds of birthday parties, educational classes, and evening events.
Aubry Dove, counselor at Foran, previously had a membership at Perfect Playdate throughout the summer.
Dove states, “ My twin girls are five, and they have a FANTASTIC time every time we go.” She continues to say, “I 1000% would recommend it to anyone with young kids! You will really get such great value, and make wonderful memories there!”
The location consists of many options when it comes to the different memberships and purchases to choose from. While they offer the choice of a single-day purchase, they also present monthly memberships as well as package deals, all at affordable prices.
With all the facility has to offer, Perfect Playdate is an amazing place to visit for those with young children or even students who babysit kids and are looking for ways to spend their time together.
