From head to toe, clothes are a great way for some to express their style. 2025 has been a year full of new and returning clothing trends. Here are some popular fashion trends that have caught the eye of many in Foran this year.
Flare Leggings
Flare leggings, also known as yoga pants, have been a recurring trend that has come back over the years. Starting in the early 2000s, yoga pants made their debut in the fashion industry. Returning as flare pants, they became very popular for their comfort and versatility with a wide range of clothing types.
“I love that yoga pants came back in style, as you guys call flare leggings,” states Ms. Chelsie Lazaro, a math teacher. “I love that they became a thing again.”
Cheetah Print
Another trend that was popular in the 2000s and is returning is cheetah print. From shirts, pants, and shoes to many other forms of clothing, cheetah print appears on many different items. This fun pattern is a great way to add a touch of design to your wardrobe.
Zahra Chopra, a sophomore at Foran, explains why she likes cheetah print.
“It kinda gives you that early 2000s vibe, and a lot of things can go with it too.”
New Balances
New Balances are a perfect pair of shoes that provide comfort and style. Coming in many different colors and designs, they can be used for many other purposes. From going on a run to running errands, it’s an adaptable mode that is perfect for handling many different activities.
Athletic Wear
From working out at the gym to keeping casual during the day, athletic wear is a versatile choice with many uses. Athletic wear is normally stretchy, fit-to-the-body clothing that is breathable and allows for easy movement. Popular stores for this type of clothing are Lululemon, Aerie, Aritzia, and more.
“I teach health and Phys. Ed, so I can wear [athletic wear] to work and casually,” says Megan Hosking. “A lot of the stuff now looks more put together than the beginning of athlesiure… vests, and all that, make you look a little more put together.”
Vests
A great way to stay warm and fashionable this winter is with vests; they are very versatile and can go with almost anything. After years of being around, they’ve just recently been making appearances in more outfits.
From different clothing to different trend ideas, students have presented many different ways to express different styles this year. Foran has yet to see the many different fashion trends that take on 2026.
