The Boys Milford swim team’s 2025-26 season is officially underway.
The roster consists of athletes from both Jonathan Law High School and Joseph A. Foran High School. This year, Captains are eager to start the season off with success. They have been putting in countless hours after school, working on their swim techniques. The swim captains this year consist of Anthony Meglio (Foran), Joseph Lahav (Foran), Onuralp Unal (Law), and Sam Eorzlt (Law).
“Being a co-op team, every year we have a different ratio of Law swimmers to Foran swimmers. Luckily, our swimmers quickly bond as one Milford team,” states Brian Dooling.
Last season, Milford finished 8-8 and competed in the CIAC Class L Boys Championship. Although they fell short of the title, the team proved they could compete at a high level.
Last year, senior captainLahav recorded an impressive time of 27.68 in the 50 butterfly, one of the fastest performances on the roster.
“Last season, we competed very well in the Class L Championship. I was very proud of the boys,” says assistant coach Brian Dooling.

Meglio has been a member of the team for the past four years, along withhis other captain, Lahav. Both captains have been working hard together and as a team in hopes of making this season very successful.
“Being a captain is a great accomplishment for me; this team works very hard to be successful during the season,” says Meglio.
The two captains have worked together to create a hard-working team that has been dedicated to being successful. The boys’ swim is motivated each season to meet their goals, whether it is making events and times or winning as a whole.
“It’s been a great honor leading the team; it’s been great meeting new people and watching the returning people grow. I’ve been very fortunate to lead a team with such great friendship and camaraderie,” states Lahav.
The team practices Monday through Friday, preparing for different meets throughout the season. Boys’ swim works hard to perfect different strategies that are effective within their meets in order to be successful throughout their season.
“We show up to work hard, we practice certain skills to avoid messing up as well as determining when to sprint and when to save energy,” states Lahav.
